A Public Insurance Adjuster is a licensed and bonded insurance expert who helps policyholders with the complex insurance claim process when they suffer a property loss. The Public Adjuster main obligation is to safeguard you and your interests in claims against a loss with the Insurance Company.
The property inspections are TOTALLY FREE, for the Golden team to come to your property and check damages to see if you have a claim and go over your insurance policy, there is no charge at all, and no commitment to sign an agreement.
We charge a percentage of the settlement for their service to you, in any case, if you don’t get paid, we don’t get paid. There are no upfront fees for our services. In Florida the maximum percentage that we can charge for a claim is 20% of the claim paid after you sign the agreement with us. In the case of a declared emergency by the Governor's office, that fee is decreased to 10% for any claim made in the first year after the date of loss. After the first year, the maximum amount that we can be charged reverts to 20%.
Your insurance company can choose to drop you at any point in time, for any reason, besides individual discrimination. Your cost can go up or they can drop you because they see you as a high-level risk client always. For example, if you accidentally leave your kitchen on and it burns your house down, they can drop you due to negligence, and hiring a Public Adjuster does not change this for the better or worse.
Yes, it is necessary for the policy holder to be present during the claim process. The policyholder is the only person authorized to make decisions and sign the documents.
By Florida law, the insurance company has up to 60 days to determine coverage. That does not mean that it will be that time, which may vary according to the claim process. At Golden, we will always try to ensure that your insurance company determines your coverage as soon as possible.
